This is my first collaboration with La Isla de los Delfines (The Dolphins Island), a Spanish environmental blog edited by a couple of fellow biologists. The cartoon tries to picture the effect of current austerity measures on Spanish science.

Cartoon inspired in a letter to Barack Obama published by the MIT Technology Review to highlight the importance of addressing climate change as soon as possible. The editors basically tell the President that “it’s not (just) the economy, stupid!” 😉
The summer

That’s something like “winter is coming…if you allow it”.
I know that this is a metaphorical quote, but I’m taking it seriously and tomorrow I’ll be moving to the eternal summer of the Canary Islands for a couple of weeks. There I’ll sail and collaborate with SECAC‘s friends researching on marine mammals in the archipelago.
