New abortion law

with one comment

(en español)

The Spanish government, hand in hand with the Catholic Church and the far right, is about to pass a new abortion law that take us back to the 80’s (…in the best-case scenario).

There is never a bad time for the Spanish Inquisition to come back to life…

It’s so sad to witness how a small but powerful and extremely conservative minority is successfully pushing Spain back to its darkest periods during the 19th and 20th centuries. I’m not talking about economics now, this is about politics mixing with religion.

Growing up in Spain nowadays

with one comment

(en español)

I don’t think it has to be easy to grow up in Spain nowadays being a little boy aware of the surrounding reality and the future that (doesn’t) awaits you.

But I’m sure it has to be even harder to grow up as a little girl knowing that what really awaits you is a bunch of laws, as the redesigned Spanish Abortion Act (that is rapidly moving from one of the most advanced in Europe back to the Middle Age), aiming to decide over your body and will and to keep your locked in a lifelong socially-induced underage state.

They are not pro-life, they are anti-woman.
